I love testing products, tinkering with my home office setup, and, of course, making coffee. Until now my answers lived in scattered DMs and old tweets, so I built a proper home for them: Gear. Two pages are live today. Networking, home theater, and coffee gear are up next.
Camera gear
Camera gear is where it all started. In 2002 I bought a tiny two megapixel Canon and took it with me everywhere on campus. Since then I have shot with a Nikon DSLR, a pocketable full frame Sony, and, today, a Fujifilm X-T4 that lands right in the sweet spot of size, weight, and versatility. This page walks through every body, the three lenses I swap between, and the software I lean on across iOS and macOS.
Office gear
Office gear focuses on my setup when I’m working from home. I currently hover over two machines: one for work and one running Claude Code a few inches to the left. Oh, and there’s a Stream Deck pedal so I can control Claude without lifting my hands off the keyboard. Two additional computers sit to the side for my enjoyment: a 20th Anniversary Mac and a NeXTcube.
